Born in Armenia, educated in Moscow,
Roland immigrated to the United States in 1992 to further
his dream of practicing Yoga and developing his healing
abilities, which were identified when he was just nine
years old.
Roland has been practicing yoga for 15 years. He has studied
under various teachers, including Brian Kest. He received
his Yoga certification from Lex Gilian, Lex Gilian Institute, in Austin,
Texas. For several years, Roland was rated the number one Yoga Instructor
for 24 Hour Fitness centers and attracted a large and loyal following.
His teaching skill is widely recognized by many sources.
Although a gifted Yogi Master, Roland is most gifted as a healer. While yet a teenager, he received his medical education at the international Djuna Academy of Alternative Medical Science in Sri Lanka and Russia. Once he returned to Russia, he studied under, and worked with, his famous healer Aunt (Djuna Davitashvili), where he helped treat many world famous dignitaries, world leaders and presidents. Here in the United States, Roland has built up a wide clientele and is very dedicated to providing his services to patients from all walks of life. He travels to both, the East and West Coast, as well as Europe, to provide his services.
Roland believes in union, in the "oneness of breath", as he puts it. By
way of example, he explains that if you take a piece of
paper, tear it into pieces, you no longer have an intact
piece of paper. Likewise, this is precisely what happens
when our minds create a space, a separation, when we focus
on various needs, drives, and emotions. We separate our
mind, body, and spirit by separating the breath–we tear
ourselves away from the most important component of our
being, the breath. This destruction creates confusion,
leads to anger and eventually breakdown of physical health
and failure of body functions. Our union, oneness, and
wholeness are lost. He says that we forget the fact that
if we turned off our supply of oxygen, we would have no
time to separate anything. He smiles as he offers his advice, "make
a priority of breath, and the union of self love in your
life". Practicing
Yoga puts the paper of our torn lives back together. While
the tiny tears are still visible, the practice of Yoga
is self-healing.
Roland is involved in developing Rumi Yoga project for workwouts and healings.
